Lobbying Advocacy and Policy Influencing Training
Advocacy is a strategic effort to influence policies of governments, private sector and civil society organizations, in order to achieve lasting change. More and more organisations and networks are involved in policy influencing. Effective policy influencing requires the right combination of tools and strategies, in order to change the issue at stake. If you want to learn how to influence policies and practices of other stakeholders in a structured and result-oriented way, this course will equip you with useful insights, strategies, tools and skills.
Course objectives
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
• identify relevant issues for advocacy and policy influencing
• analyse the advocacy environment
• strategise an advocacy goal with different stakeholder settings
• formulate a concrete advocacy plan.

• scanning the policy process
